I had the pleasure of providing a DJ mix for the net radio of Music For Dreams, a Danish music label that has been around for 25 years, on MIX CLOUD. It was a deeply moving experience, especially since I've been buying records from this label, which I love, for over 20 years.
Centered around Balearic, the label's main genre, I've selected tracks exclusively from Japanese artists. (What is commonly known as Walearic) Please enjoy it as background music.

For this mix, I selected Japanese music from the 1970s and 1980s, ranging from anime songs and film soundtracks to city pop, kayōkyoku, and other tracks with a Balearic feel.
In Japan, this kind of Balearic-inspired selection of Japanese music is sometimes referred to as "Walearic."
"Wa" means harmony and Japanese sensibility.
"Walearic" is where the Balearic spirit meets the Japanese idea of Wa.
